THE THRILLS OF WSOP
WSOP or the World Series of Poker, only the name is sufficient to get thrilled out of. Leicester Square was the place in London where, the WSOP 2007 was going on and I was one of those fanatics of WSOP tournament that came here after leaving my all work just to satisfy my desire to be a part of the event, no matter I was only a viewer over there. London always remains a center of attraction for all due to several unique and special things, but the things are of some different colors when there runs the WSOP event.
It’s always been a dream of a person to be a part of such a huge event that can be regarded as an Easter of Poker gambling, but it was my pleasure to be there as a viewer in the event. At London, you can see during this time, no place would be there where people were away from discussing about the event and planning about their schedule to watch them as well.
As I was wandering over to the Square, I found some people gathering and discussing about the event that who will be the winner of the final table. People were genuinely excited about the winners of the event as there were lots of names of players having professional ranks and came here to show their gambling strength and potentials including Greg Raymer, Daniel Negreanu and Phil Hellmuth. Media was in a way to boost up the excitement and thrill at its top by interviewing the participants and pro poker players for giving rise to make people discussing more and more in this regard and it happened too.
The event brought so many ups and downs and finally on July 6, 2007, Jerry Yang became the winner of WSOP 2007 event with a huge prize pool of $8,250,000. Several other winners were also there who have shown their actual talents and potentials in the field of poker gaming.
I found it a big deal being a viewer only and was really thrilled with the thought that what would have been happened if I were a participant in the event and reached till that level of the final table winner….!!!
