In poker games such as Omaha High-Low 8 or better, if you must qualify you will have to stay with the cards needed to win the low part of the pot also. The player should not be having a pair and they are not supposed to have a card which is more than 8.

For instance, 7D 6D 4D 2D AD qualifies for the low part of the pot according to the poker rules; however, 9S 4S 3S 2S AS and 5C 3D 3H 2C AD do not. If no player qualifies at the showdown for the low part of the pot, the entire pot is provided to the player with the high poker hand combination.

Betting choices:

While it is a player’s turn to proceed he might decide on the following:

1) Fold

The player removes his hand and sacrifices the opportunity to succeed any part of the pot.

2) Check

If there has been no bet completed on the present betting round a player may possibly decide to check, placing no more cash into the pot, but staying in the hand.

3) Call

If there has been a bet completed in the present betting round a player may possibly decide to call the bet, equaling the present bet total.

4) Bet

If there has been no bet completed on the present betting round a player may possibly decide to bet, placing money into the pot, the total according to the betting limitations set there in.

5) Raise

If there has been a bet completed on the present betting round a player may possibly decide to raise, first calling the present bet total, then raising the present bet to a bigger amount, the total according to the betting formation.
